To Anthemius the Subdeacon, on Support for Converts from Judaism

Gregory to Anthemius, and so on. Those whom our Redeemer deigns to turn to himself from the perdition of the Jews we ought to help, within reasonable limits, so that they do not, God forbid, suffer from lack of food. So by the authority of this order we charge you not to neglect to give money every year to the children of Justa, a Hebrew woman, that is, to Julianus, Redemptus and Fortuna, beginning from the coming thirteenth indiction. And know that the payment is by all means to be entered as a charge in your accounts.
