Letters, Book 3
To Maximianus, Bishop of Syracuse
Gregory to Maximianus, bishop of Syracuse. Some time ago I wrote to your fraternity asking you to send to the city of Rome those who had brought any charge against Gregory, bishop of the city of Agrigento. By this present letter we urge you to have this done at once. So hurry to send the persons themselves with speed, along with the rest of the documents, that is, the records of the proceedings and the petitions that have been handed in. We allow no delay and no excuse to be sought, so that when they have been sent quickly to the city of Rome, as we have said, we may know how, with God’s help, we can best deal with him.
