For there, just as he called the disciples to the upper room, the Word calls us with them to the divine and incorruptible banquet. Here he suffered for us; there he prepares the heavenly dwellings for those who answer the summons most readily, who, without ceasing and with their eyes on the goal, pursue the prize of their high calling. There, for those who come to the banquet and struggle against those who hinder them, both a crown and incorruptible joy are laid up. For even though, humanly speaking, the labor of such a journey is great, the Savior himself has made even that light and kind.
