How Can True Patience Be Gained?

We would like to know how that calmness can be gained and kept. When silence is laid on us, we shut the door of our mouth and put a ban on speech. We want to know how we may in the same way keep gentleness of heart, which sometimes loses its calm within even when the tongue is held back. For this reason we think the blessing of gentleness can be kept only by someone in a remote cell and a solitary dwelling.
