Perfection Only Through Humility

And so it is clearly shown that no one can reach the end of perfection and purity except through true humility. He shows it first to the brothers, and shows it also to God in his inmost heart, believing that without God’s protection and help, given him at every moment, he cannot possibly reach the perfection he desires and toward which he is hurrying so eagerly.
