Waking Dreams

So the wretched soul is so affected by such vanity, as though it were deluded in a deep sleep, that it is often carried away by the pleasure of such thoughts and filled with such fancies that it cannot even look at what is in front of it, or at the brothers. It enjoys dwelling on these things, which it dreams awake with its wandering thoughts as though they were true.
