To the Presbyter Basilius, on Athanasius the Orator

I have found the most eloquent orator Athanasius to be just what your letter described. His tongue is adorned by his speech, his speech by his character, and everything about him is made bright by his abundant faith. Always send us such gifts, my most God-beloved friend. Believe me, you have given me very great pleasure through my time with him. [a]
