Eustathius the Bishop

Eustathius, a Pamphylian from Side, was bishop first of Beroea in Syria and then of Antioch. He ruled the church there and wrote much against the teaching of the Arians, and under the emperor Constantius he was driven into exile at Trajanopolis in Thrace, where he remains to this day. Works of his survive On the Soul, On the Ventriloquist, against Origen, and letters too many to mention.
