Aristides the Philosopher

Aristides, a most eloquent Athenian philosopher, became a disciple of Christ while still keeping his philosopher’s dress. He presented a work to Hadrian at the same time that Quadratus presented his. The work contained an orderly statement of our teaching, that is, an Apology for the Christians. It is still in existence and is regarded by scholars as a monument to his genius.
