Gennadius
Victor the Bishop
Victor, bishop of Cartenna in Mauretania, wrote one long book against the Arians, which he sent to King Genseric by his followers, as I learned from the preface to the work. He also wrote On the Repentance of the Publican, in which he drew up a rule of life for penitents according to the authority of the Scriptures. He also wrote a work of comfort to one Basil, On the Death of a Son, filled with the hope of the resurrection and with good counsel. He also composed many homilies, which have been arranged as continuous works and which, as I know, are used by brothers anxious for their own salvation.
