Isaac the Presbyter

Isaac, presbyter of the church at Antioch, whose many works cover a long period, wrote in Syriac, chiefly against the Nestorians and the Eutychians. He mourned the fall of Antioch in an elegy, taking up the same strain that Ephrem the deacon had sounded over the fall of Nicomedia. He died in the reign of Leo and Majorian.
