Theodotus the Bishop

Theodotus, bishop of Ancyra in Galatia, while he was at Ephesus, wrote against Nestorius a work of defense and refutation. [a] It is written, to be sure, in the style of logical argument, but it is interwoven with passages from the Holy Scriptures. His method was to make statements and then quote proof texts from the Scriptures.
