John, Bishop of Constantinople

John, bishop of Constantinople, was a man of marvelous knowledge and of holy life, in every respect worthy to be imitated. He wrote many very useful works for all who are hastening toward the things of God. Among them are these: one book On Heartfelt Sorrow of Soul; That No One Is Harmed Except by Himself; an excellent volume In Praise of the Blessed Paul the Apostle; On the Excesses and Ill Repute of Eutropius, a Praetorian Prefect; and many others, as I have said, which the diligent may find.
