Gennadius
Bachiarius
Bachiarius, a Christian philosopher, ready and willing and minded to give his time to God, chose travel as a means of keeping his purpose whole. He is said to have published pleasing small works, but I have read only one of them, a work On Faith, in which he justified himself to the chief priest of the city. He defended himself against those who complained about his travel and misrepresented it, and he asserted that he undertook it not from fear of men but for the sake of God, so that, going out from his land and his kindred, he might become a co-heir with Abraham the patriarch.
