Jerome
Diodorus the Bishop
Diodorus, bishop of Tarsus, enjoyed a great reputation while he was still a presbyter of Antioch. His Commentaries on the Letters are still in existence, as well as many other works in the manner of Eusebius the Great of Emesa. He followed Eusebius’s meaning, but he could not imitate his eloquence, because he had no knowledge of secular literature.
