Jerome
Euzoius the Bishop
As a young man Euzoius was educated at Caesarea, together with Gregory, bishop of Nazianzus, by Thespesius the teacher of rhetoric. Afterward, when he was bishop of the same city, he tried with great pains to restore the library collected by Origen and Pamphilus, which had already suffered damage. At last, in the reign of the emperor Theodosius, he was driven out of the church. Many and various treatises of his are in circulation, and one can easily become acquainted with them.
