Photinus, Founder of a Heresy

Photinus of Galatia, a disciple of Marcellus, was ordained bishop of Sirmium. He attempted to bring in the Ebionite heresy, and afterward, when he had been driven out of the church by the emperor Valentinian, he wrote many volumes. The most distinguished of them are Against the Nations and To Valentinian.
