Acacius the Bishop
Acacius, whom they nicknamed “the One-Eyed” because he was blind in one eye, was bishop of the church of Caesarea in Palestine. He wrote seventeen volumes On Ecclesiastes and six of Miscellaneous Questions, and many treatises on various subjects besides. He had such influence in the reign of the emperor Constantius that he made Felix bishop of Rome in place of Liberius.
