God Honored the One Who Honored Him

Such are the proofs by which the Supreme God has made it plain to us, in the person of Constantine, who alone of all rulers openly professed the Christian faith, how great a difference he sees between those who have the privilege of worshiping him and his Christ, and those who have chosen the opposite side. These provoked his hostility by daring to attack his church, and their disastrous end in every case gave signs of his displeasure, just as plainly as the death of Constantine gave all people clear assurance of his divine love.
