Book 4
The Marriage of Constantius Caesar
When the thirtieth year of his reign was complete, he celebrated the marriage of his second son; that of his eldest had taken place long before. It was an occasion of great joy and festivity. The emperor himself attended his son at the ceremony and entertained the guests, men and women alike, in distinct and separate companies, with lavish hospitality. Rich gifts were also handed out generously to the cities and their peoples.
