Thanks to God, the Teacher of Good

“Abundant thanks be given to you, most mighty God and Lord of all, that the more our nature becomes known from the varied pursuits of mankind, the more the commands of your divine teaching are confirmed to those whose thoughts are rightly directed and who are sincerely devoted to true virtue. As for those who will not let themselves be cured of their error, let them blame no one but themselves. For the remedy that has supreme power to heal is openly placed within the reach of all. Only let no one do harm to that religion which experience itself shows to be pure and undefiled. From now on, then, let us all enjoy together the privilege placed within our reach — I mean the blessing of peace — and strive to keep our conscience pure from everything opposed to it.
