Evening Hymn

Joyful light of the holy glory

of the immortal Father,

heavenly, holy, blessed —

Jesus Christ:

now that we have come to the setting of the sun

and have seen the evening light,

we sing to Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: God.

You are worthy at every season

to be sung with glad voices,

Son of God, giver of life;

that is why the world gives you glory.
