Jasper den Taschrinkmaker, in the Year 1569

At Antwerp, about the year 1569, a brother named Jasper den Taschrinkmaker was arrested. When he was examined concerning his faith, he confessed it boldly, and would let no entreaties, threats or tortures turn him from it. Because of his steadfastness he was sentenced to death as a heretic, and offered up his sacrifice by fire. So the eternal fire shall not destroy what he has built on the foundation Jesus Christ.
