Old Book of the Martyrs Mirror: 1560s
Karel Halling, in the Year 1567
Karel Halling, a native of Steenwerck, who had fled from there to Armentiers for the testimony of the Lord, was arrested at the latter place, and since he was determined to adhere steadfastly to the knowledge of the truth and faith he had confessed, the lords sentenced him to death, and so he was burned alive for the name of God.
