Koolaert, the Cooper, in the Year 1561

At Honschote, in Flanders, a brother named Koolaert the cooper was arrested for the truth in the year 1561. After he had freely confessed his faith he was taken to Wijnoxberge, and since there too, in spite of the tortures inflicted on him, he would not turn to the right or to the left, he was sentenced to death and burned alive, about Saint Martin's Day, for the testimony of our Lord Jesus Christ.
