Grietgen, Tanneken, Lijntgen, and Stijntgen of Aix La Chapelle, in the Year 1558

Not long after the above, also four sisters, named Grietgen, Tanneken, Lijntgen and Stijntgen of Aix la Chapelle, were arrested at Antwerp for their faith, and severely examined; but since they could not be moved from it in any way, and fought as heroines for the name of Christ, always firmly holding to the truth, they were finally tied crooked and drowned in prison.
