Prayer

Merciful Father, look upon me with eyes of compassion, as You looked upon the prodigal son; for to You only, O Father, belongs praise and honor, but to us nothing but shame before Your face; therefore, good Father, I commit soul and body into Your divine and gracious keeping: guide me, through Jesus Christ Your dear Son, into all things that are well pleasing to Your divine Spirit; and bring to folly and madness the counsel of the ungodly, and preserve us by Your divine Word now and forever. Amen.
