Sebastian Glasmacher and Hans Gruenfelder, in the Year 1537

In the year 1537, Sebastian Glasmacher and Hans Gruenfelder were also arrested for the faith and divine truth, at Imst, in the upper valley of the Inn. They were executed with the sword, and then burned. They confessed the Lord and His holy Word and truth with great gladness. A countless multitude were present at their execution. Hans called out and spoke with a very loud voice, admonishing and warning the people as well as he could; and so did Sebastian, and they continued in this until their death. This greatly astonished the people! Their bones, however, could not be wholly burned; so they were afterward thrown into the water. The heart of one of them also could not be burned, which was no doubt for a remarkable testimony. John 15, verse 27.
