Two Other Brothers, and Two Sisters, in the Year 1529

In this way they meant to put out the light of the truth and the fire of God; but it was kindled only the more. They then arrested a man, a woman, a manservant and a maidservant. Whoever embraced the faith, and wanted to separate from the ways, the society and the idolatry of the world, was arrested by them. In several places they filled all the prisons with them, intending to deter them by fear; but they sang and rejoiced in prison, so that their enemies who had put them in prison were more troubled and afraid than the prisoners. They did not know what to do with them, especially since it was only because of the faith.
