William White, Father Abraham of Cholchester, and John Waddon, in the Year 1428
WILLIAM WHITE, FATHER ABRAHAM OF CHOLCHESTER, AND JOHN WADDON, BURNT FOR THE FAITH, AT NORWICH, IN ENGLAND, IN THE YEAR 1428
When the light of the Gospel began to break forth with power in England as well, so that some people not only believed and held to the truth of Christ, but also taught and spread it, the Romanists showed themselves children of darkness and displayed their old nature toward these people, for they informed the King of England, then only a child of six years, of this matter, intending to guard against it.
So it happened in the year 1428 that this child-king, urged on by the fathers and heads of the Roman church, at once resolved to order the officers appointed for it to arrest these people and all who held their belief, so that they might be punished according to the laws of England.
