BARBARA NEEFT, ABOUT THE YEAR 1643

This woman was very near the time of her delivery when she was driven here and there by the persecution.

After she had given birth and had lain in for three days, she was betrayed and arrested.

She was taken at once, in the bitter cold of winter, to a prison four hours' walk away; in which, because of the intolerable cold, her health was ruined beyond recovery, so that, though she was released from prison before her death, she died soon after, and is now resting with her soul under the altar of God. Compare Jer. Mang., Tract of the year 1645, folio 16, A., with M. Meyli, Tract, folio 8, after the three women first mentioned, number 1.
