Further Observation Touching the Person of Olivier Willemss

It is said of him that besides his upright faith and virtuous way of life, he had a very keen and penetrating understanding, and also that he was so well versed in the three chief languages, namely, Hebrew, Greek and Latin, that he read them at home every day, and explained them to his household.

In prison he was greatly threatened with torture, which he bore steadfastly, immovably and unchangingly before God and men. He had been in prison only three days when his trial was concluded; then sentence followed, and the next day, death.

He was burned alive between two young women, who to all appearances had confessed the same truth, according to the testimony of those who said that they saw it with their own eyes.

NOTE. Since there have come into our hands not only the copy given above and this last notice concerning Olivier Willemss, but also the criminal demand of the bailiff of Antwerp, made concerning that person, and what the judges advised on it, according to the original record of the secretary there, we shall properly add them here, so that everyone may be fully assured of it.
