Psalms of Solomon 15

A Psalm of Solomon with a Song

When I was afflicted, I called on the Lord’s name. I hoped in the help of Jacob’s God, and I was saved, for you, God, are the hope and refuge of the poor.
For who has strength, God, except to give you thanks in truth? What human being has power except to give thanks to your name?
A new psalm with a song in gladness of heart; the fruit of lips with the tongue as its tuned instrument; the firstfruits of lips from a holy and righteous heart.
The one who does these things will never be shaken by evil. A flame of fire and the wrath of the unrighteous will not touch him,
when it comes out from the Lord’s presence against sinners to destroy everything the sinners possess.
For God’s sign is on the righteous for rescue.
Famine, sword, and death are far from the righteous. Indeed, they will flee from the holy ones like people pursued in war.
But they will pursue sinners and overtake them, and those who practice lawlessness will not escape the Lord’s judgment.
They will be overtaken as if by experienced enemies, for the sign of destruction is on their forehead.
The inheritance of sinners is destruction and darkness, and their lawless deeds will pursue them down to Hades below.
Their inheritance will not be found for their children, for their sins will leave sinners’ houses desolate.
Sinners will perish forever on the day of the Lord’s judgment, when God attends to the earth in judgment.
But those who revere the Lord will be shown mercy on that day and will live by the act of mercy of their God. Sinners will perish for all time.
