Psalms 149

1 Sing a new song to the Lord; his praise is in the assembly of those holy to him.

2 Let Israel rejoice in the one who made him, and let Zion’s sons celebrate in their King.

3 Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with hand-drum and harp,

4 because the Lord delights in his people and will exalt the meek with rescue.

5 Those holy to him will boast in glory and celebrate upon their beds.

6 High praises of God are in their throats, and two-edged swords are in their hands,

7 to carry out vengeance among the nations and rebukes among the peoples,

8 to bind their kings with fetters and their honored men with iron handcuffs,

9 to carry out written judgment among them. This glory belongs to everyone holy to him.
