Psalms
Psalms 148
Hallelujah, by Haggai and Zechariah.
Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise him in the highest places.
Praise him, all his messengers; praise him, all his armies.
Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all stars and light.
Praise him, heavens of heavens and water above the heavens.
Let them praise the Lord’s name, because he spoke and they came into being; he commanded and they were created.
He established them forever and ever. He set a decree, and it will not pass away.
Praise the Lord from the earth, dragons and all depths:
fire, hail, snow, ice, and storm wind, which carry out his word;
mountains and all hills, fruit-bearing trees and all cedars;
wild animals and all cattle, crawling creatures and winged birds;
kings of the earth and all peoples, rulers and all judges of the earth;
young men and virgins, elders together with younger people.
Let them praise the Lord’s name, because his name alone was exalted; his thanksgiving is above earth and heaven.
He will exalt his people’s horn. A hymn belongs to everyone holy to him—the sons of Israel, a people drawing near him.
