Psalms 147

Hallelujah, by Haggai and Zechariah.

Praise the Lord, because a psalm is good; may praise be made pleasant for our God.
The Lord builds Jerusalem and will gather Israel’s scattered people.
He heals those whose hearts are broken and binds their fractures.
He counts the multitudes of stars and calls all of them by name.
Our Lord is great, his strength is great, and his understanding cannot be counted.
The Lord supports the meek but humbles sinners to the ground.
Begin a song to the Lord with thanksgiving; make music to our God with a harp.
He covers heaven with clouds, prepares rain for the earth, and makes grass spring up on the mountains, [along with green grass for human service].
He gives cattle their food and gives food to young ravens that call upon him.
He does not desire a horse’s strength or delight in a man’s legs.
The Lord delights in those who revere him and those who hope in his mercy.

Hallelujah, by Haggai and Zechariah.

Praise the Lord, Jerusalem; praise your God, Zion.
He strengthened the bars of your gates and blessed your sons within you.
He makes your borders peaceful and fills you with the fat of wheat.
He sends his saying to the earth; his word will run with great speed.
He gives snow like wool and scatters mist like ashes.
He throws his ice like morsels. Who will stand before his cold?
He will send his word and melt them; he will blow with his wind, and waters will flow.
He proclaims his word to Jacob, his rules and judgments to Israel.
He did not do this for every nation and did not reveal his judgments to them.
