Psalms 138

I will give thanks to you with my whole heart, Lord, because you heard the words of my mouth. I will make music to you before messengers.

I will bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your mercy and truth, because you magnified your saying above every name.

On whatever day I call upon you, listen to me quickly; you will show great care for me by strengthening my soul.

Let all the kings of the earth give thanks to you, Lord, because they heard all the words of your mouth.

Let them sing along the Lord’s ways, because the Lord’s glory is great.

The Lord is high, yet he watches the humble and knows lofty things from far away.

If I walk in the midst of affliction, you will give me life. You stretched out your hand against my enemies’ anger, and your right hand saved me.

The Lord will repay on my behalf. Lord, your mercy lasts forever; do not overlook the works of your hands.
