Psalms 130

A song of ascents.

From the depths I cried out to you, Lord.
Lord, hear my voice. May your ears pay attention to the sound of my plea.
Lord, if you kept watch over lawlessness, Lord, who could stand?
But atonement is with you.
Because of your law I waited for you, Lord; my soul waited for your word.
My soul hoped in the Lord from the morning watch until night. From the morning watch onward, let Israel hope in the Lord,
because mercy is with the Lord, and abundant ransom is with him.
He will ransom Israel from all its lawlessness.
