Psalms 118

Hallelujah.

Give thanks to the Lord, because he is good, because his mercy lasts forever.
Let the house of Israel say,
“He is good, because his mercy lasts forever.”
Let the house of Aaron say,
“He is good, because his mercy lasts forever.”
Let all who revere the Lord say,
“He is good, because his mercy lasts forever.”
In affliction I called upon the Lord, and he heard me and brought me into a wide place.
The Lord is my helper; I will not fear what a human being will do to me.
The Lord is my helper, and I will look upon my enemies.
It is good to trust in the Lord rather than trust in a human being.
It is good to hope in the Lord rather than hope in rulers.
All nations surrounded me, but in the Lord’s name I defended myself against them.
They surrounded and surrounded me, but in the Lord’s name I defended myself against them.
They surrounded me like bees around a honeycomb and blazed like fire among thorns, but in the Lord’s name I defended myself against them.
I was pushed and overturned so I would fall, but the Lord supported me.
The Lord is my strength and my song, and he became my rescue.
A sound of rejoicing and rescue is in the tents of the righteous:
“The Lord’s right hand acted with power!
The Lord’s right hand raised me; the Lord’s right hand acted with power!”
I will not die but live, and I will recount the Lord’s works.
The Lord disciplined me severely, but he did not hand me over to death.
Open the gates of righteousness to me; I will enter through them and give thanks to the Lord.
This is the Lord’s gate; the righteous will enter through it.
I will give thanks to you, because you heard me and became my rescue.
The stone the builders rejected became the cornerstone.
This came from the Lord, and it is wonderful in our eyes.
This is the day the Lord made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Lord, please save! Lord, please prosper us!
Blessed is the one who comes in the Lord’s name. We blessed you from the Lord’s house.
God is the Lord, and he shone upon us. Arrange a festival among the dense branches, as far as the horns of the altar.
You are my God, and I will give thanks to you. You are my God, and I will exalt you. I will give thanks to you, because you heard me and became my rescue.
Give thanks to the Lord, because he is good, because his mercy lasts forever.
