Psalms 111

1 I will give thanks to you, Lord, with my whole heart, in the council of the upright and in the gathering.

2 The Lord’s works are great, searched out according to all his desires.

3 His work is thanksgiving and majesty, and his righteousness remains forever and ever.

4 He made a remembrance of his wonders; the Lord is merciful and compassionate.

5 He gave food to those who revere him; he will remember his covenant forever.

6 He proclaimed the strength of his works to his people, to give them the inheritance of nations.

7 The works of his hands are truth and judgment; all his commands are trustworthy,

8 established forever and ever, made in truth and uprightness.

9 He sent ransom to his people and commanded his covenant forever. His name is holy and fearsome.

10 Reverence for the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; everyone who practices wisdom has good understanding. His praise remains forever and ever.
