Psalms 110

A psalm by David.

1 The Lord said to my lord,
“Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”
2 The Lord will send your rod of power out from Zion. Rule in the middle of your enemies.
3 Rule belongs with you on the day of your power, among the splendor of the holy ones.
“I gave birth to you from the womb before the morning star.”
4 The Lord swore and will not change his mind:
“You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.”
5 The Lord at your right hand crushed kings on the day of his anger.
6 He will judge among the nations, fill them with corpses, and crush the heads of many upon the earth.
7 He will drink from a torrent along the road; therefore he will raise his head.
