Psalms 103

By David.

My soul, bless the Lord, and may everything within me bless his holy name.
My soul, bless the Lord, and do not forget all his rewards—
the one who forgives all your lawlessness and heals all your diseases,
who ransoms your life from decay and crowns you with mercy and compassion,
who fills your desire with good things, so your youth will be renewed like an eagle’s.
The Lord performs acts of mercy and judgment for everyone who is treated unjustly.
He made his ways known to Moses and his desires to the children of Israel.
The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to anger and rich in mercy.
He will not be angry to the end or keep his wrath forever.
He did not deal with us according to our sins or repay us according to our lawlessness.
As heaven is high above the earth, the Lord made his mercy strong toward those who revere him.
As far as east is from west, so far he removed our lawlessness from us.
As a father has compassion on his children, the Lord had compassion on those who revere him,
because he knows how we were formed. Remember that we are dust.
A human being’s days are like grass; he will bloom like a flower of the field.
When a wind passes over it, it will no longer exist, and it will no longer recognize its place.
But the Lord’s mercy is from age to age upon those who revere him, and his righteousness upon their children’s children,
upon those who keep his covenant and remember his commands in order to do them.
The Lord prepared his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.
Bless the Lord, all his messengers, mighty in strength, who carry out his word when they hear the sound of his words.
Bless the Lord, all his armies, his servants who do his will.
Bless the Lord, all his works, in every place under his rule. My soul, bless the Lord.
