Psalms
Psalms 92
A psalm of a song for the Sabbath day.
It is good to give thanks to the Lord and make music to your name, Most High,
to proclaim your mercy in the morning and your truth at night
with a ten-stringed harp, together with a song on the lyre.
You gladdened me by your work, Lord; I will rejoice in the works of your hands.
How greatly your works were magnified, Lord! Your thoughts became very deep.
A foolish man will not know, and a senseless man will not understand these things.
When sinners spring up like grass and all who practice lawlessness peer out, it is so that they may be utterly destroyed forever and ever.
But you are Most High forever, Lord.
Look, your enemies will perish, and all who practice lawlessness will be scattered.
My horn will be exalted like that of a one-horned ox, and my old age will be rich with oil.
My eye looked upon my enemies, and my ear will hear the evildoers who rise against me.
The righteous will blossom like a palm tree and multiply like a cedar in Lebanon.
Those planted in the Lord’s house will blossom in our God’s courts.
They will still multiply in a prosperous old age and live in well-being,
so that they may proclaim that the Lord my God is upright and there is no injustice in him.
