Psalms
Psalms 87
A psalm of a song by the sons of Korah.
1 His foundations are in the holy mountains.
2 The Lord loves Zion’s gates more than all Jacob’s dwellings.
3 Glorious things were spoken about you, city of God. Pause.
4 I will mention Rahab and Babylon to those who know me. Look also at the Philistines, Tyre, and the people of Cush: these were born there.
5 A person will say, “Mother Zion,” and a person was born in her. The Most High himself founded her.
6 The Lord will recount in the writing of peoples and rulers those who were born in her. Pause.
7 The dwelling of everyone within you is like the dwelling of those who rejoice.
