Psalms
Psalms 75
For the end. Do not destroy. A psalm by Asaph, a song.
1 We will give thanks to you, God; we will give thanks and call upon your name.
2 I will recount all your wonders.
“When I take the appointed time, I will judge with uprightness.
3 The earth and all who live in it dissolved, but I strengthened its pillars. Pause.
4 I told those who break the law, ‘Do not break the law,’ and sinners, ‘Do not raise your horn.
5 Do not raise your horn on high, and do not speak injustice against God.’”
6 Good does not come from the east, the west, or the desert mountains,
7 because God is the judge. He humbles one person and raises another.
8 A cup is in the Lord’s hand, full of a mixture of unmixed wine. He tilted it from side to side, but its dregs were not completely poured out. All the sinners of the earth will drink them.
9 But I will rejoice forever; I will make music to the God of Jacob.
10 I will break all the sinners’ horns, but the horns of the righteous will be raised.
