Psalms
Psalms 65
For the end. A psalm by David, a song of Jeremiah and Ezekiel from the account of the exile, when they were about to depart.
A hymn is fitting for you, God, in Zion, and a vow will be fulfilled to you in Jerusalem.
Hear my prayer; all flesh will come to you.
Words of lawlessness overpowered us, but you will be merciful to us despite our ungodly acts.
Blessed is the one you chose and received. He will live in your courts. We will be filled with the good things of your house. Your sanctuary is holy, wonderful in righteousness.
Hear us, God who rescues us, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of those far away at sea.
You prepare mountains by your strength, wrapped in power.
You stir the depths of the sea and the sound of its waves. The nations will be troubled,
and those living at the ends of the earth will fear your signs. You will bring joy to the departures of morning and evening.
You visited the earth and drenched it; you greatly enriched it. God’s river was filled with water. You prepared their food, because this is your preparation.
Drench its furrows and multiply its produce. As it springs up, it will rejoice in the drops of rain.
You will bless the crown of the year with your kindness, and your plains will be filled with richness.
The beautiful places of the wilderness will grow rich, and the hills will wrap themselves in joy.
The rams of the flock were clothed, and the valleys will abound with grain. They will cry aloud; indeed, they will sing hymns.
