Psalms 61

For the end, among hymns. By David.

God, hear my plea; pay attention to my prayer.
From the ends of the earth I cried to you when my heart grew weary. You raised me upon a rock,
you guided me, because you became my hope, a tower of strength against the enemy.
I will live as a foreigner in your tent forever; I will be sheltered under the cover of your wings. Pause.
For you, God, heard my vows and gave an inheritance to those who revere your name.
You will add days to the king’s days; you will extend his years from generation to generation.
He will remain before God forever. Who will seek out his mercy and truth?
So I will make music to your name forever and ever, fulfilling my vows day after day.
