Psalms
Psalms 47
For the end, for the sons of Korah. A psalm.
1 Clap your hands, all nations! Shout to God with a voice of rejoicing!
2 The Lord Most High is awe-inspiring, a great King over all the earth.
3 He subdued peoples under us and nations under our feet.
4 He chose his inheritance for us—the beauty of Jacob, which he loved. Pause.
5 God ascended with a shout; the Lord ascended with the sound of a trumpet.
6 Make music to our God; make music! Make music to our King; make music!
7 God is King of all the earth; make music with understanding.
8 God reigns over the nations; God sits on his holy throne.
9 The rulers of the peoples gathered with Abraham’s God, because the mighty ones of the earth belong to God; they were greatly exalted.
