Psalms 29

A psalm by David, at the departure of the tent.

Bring to the Lord, you sons of God; bring young rams to the Lord. Bring glory and honor to the Lord.
Bring the Lord glory for his name; bow down to the Lord in his holy court.
The Lord’s voice is over the waters. The God of glory thundered; the Lord is over many waters.
The Lord’s voice is powerful; the Lord’s voice is full of majesty.
The Lord’s voice breaks cedars; the Lord will break the cedars of Lebanon.
He will crush them like a calf—Lebanon itself—and the beloved one will be like a young one-horned ox.
The Lord’s voice divides a flame of fire.
The Lord’s voice shakes the wilderness; the Lord will shake the wilderness of Kadesh.
The Lord’s voice strengthens deer and will uncover the thickets. In his temple everyone speaks of glory.
The Lord will dwell over the flood; the Lord will sit as king forever.
The Lord will give strength to his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.
