Psalms 23

The Lord shepherds me, and I will lack nothing.

He settled me in a place of green grass and nourished me beside restful water.

He restored my soul and guided me on paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Even if I walk in the middle of death’s shadow, I will fear no evil, because you are with me. Your rod and your staff comforted me.

You prepared a table before me in the presence of those who afflict me. You richly anointed my head with oil, and your cup makes me drunk as with the strongest wine.

Your mercy will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the Lord’s house for length of days.
